Ghada Ellithy received her Bachelor Degree in Civil Eng., and Masters Degree in Geotechnical Eng. from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. She graduated with a Ph.D. from West Virginia University in 1998 with emphasis on Geotechnical Engineering. After graduation, she worked at Tenax Corporation in Baltimore, MD for six years in the Geosynthetic field.  Ghada joined Shannon& Wilson three years ago, she works there as Senior Principal Eng. managing projects, and leading design efforts for a variety of geotechnical projects. Ghada has experience in deep foundations, retaining structures, pavement design, and landfill design.

Ghada has two children, 18 and 12 year olds. She enjoys spending time with her children, reading, playing the Piano, and improvising while cooking.
