SEAN CARAWAY, P.E. - PRESIDENT-ELECT




 

 



Sean Caraway is a senior geotechnical engineer with the City of Seattle Public Utilities Materials Lab. He received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1993 at the University of Florida and completed graduate coursework in geotechnical engineering at the University of South Florida. He has over 15 years of experience in geotechnical consulting and construction materials testing and monitoring. Sean has completed geotechnical investigations, as well as construction monitoring duties for a wide range of commercial, municipal and residential projects. His project experience includes work in seven states and abroad.

 
Sean has been involved with all phases of geotechnical and construction monitoring on projects, including project management. He has completed field exploration and site reconnaissance assignments, laboratory testing, engineering analyses and report preparation. Certain key issues that he has analyzed and addressed on projects include slope stability, soft, loose and/or organic soils, liquefiable soils, expansive soils, mitigation options, shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls and pavement sections.
 
Sean has five year old twin girls that keep him very busy. In his limited free time he enjoys soccer, hiking and photography.
